Rs 6.50 lakh recovered from bank’s security guard who fabricated the story of cheating in Kathua Jammu News – Times of India

Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Police claims to have solved a case of cash snatching Jandi Morh, Hiranagar Kathua A security guard of the bank fabricated the story of cash snatching in the district within 48 hours of the crime with the arrest of the accused, besides recovering huge cash amounting to Rs.6,50000/- from him.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kathua, RC Kotwal Told that security guard JK Gramin Bank Sherpur Hiranagar fabricated a story of snatching money from him to divert the attention of the police investigation.
“On December 27, a written complaint was received from Anil Sangraal, Branch Head, JK Gramin Bank Sherpur Hiranagar which stated that an unarmed guard of Bank Mohit Singh was arrested for depositing a cash amount of Rs. was deputed to. Three motorcycle-borne miscreants who arrived on their motorcycle in Bassi-Jamwal near Jandi More suddenly snatched the bag full of money from behind. 650000/-,” said SSP Kathua Mr Kotwal.
SSP Kathua said, “Accordingly a special team was formed and a special team led by Inspector Yash Paul Sharma SHO P/S Hiranagar immediately investigated to nab the miscreants involved in the case.
He said that with the help of human resources and technical support, the team has succeeded in recovering total Rs 650000 from Mohit Singh – accused Mohit Singh, the bank guard son of Kuldeep Singh resident of Sial Tehsil Rajpura district, Samba today.
SSP Kathua said, “During investigation, the unarmed guard of the said bank Mohit Singh had told a false story to the manager of the said bank regarding snatching of cash.
The senior police officer said that further investigation in this regard is on.
