RR issues apology for a tweet on Sanju Samson

Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Indian Premier League (IPL) match no. 52. Jos Buttler (95 off 59) and skipper Sanju Samson (66* off 38) set the hosts Hyderabad a mammoth target of 215 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Sunday. However, the tweet didn’t go down well and backfired as SRH clinched a 4-wicket win in a last-over thriller. Sandeep Sharma comes into the attack and is tasked with defending 17 runs off the last six balls. After hitting sixes, the RR pacer came back and conceded only four runs in the next three balls and also got Samad caught at long-off by Jos Buttler in the last ball of the over. Unfortunately, the celebrations in the RR camp were marred when the third umpire blew the no-ball sahab. Sandeep had to bowl a free-hit ball and Samad hit a six.

The no-ball left the RR fans disappointed and angry. Captain Sanju said that such ups and downs are a part of the game but a bowler cannot move at such a crucial moment.
“Nothing much, it’s a no ball, just throwing it again as simple as that, you don’t think much about it. Sandeep knows what he has to do. Maybe there was a slight change in mindset for a few seconds when you thought the job was done, and everyone was celebrating, but I think that’s the nature of the game, you can’t draw the line at that point. ” Sanju had said.
