RPF CIB caught stolen mobiles worth 5 lakhs, one arrested Rail Hunt

Howrah. The CIB team of Howrah RPF has got a big success. A youth who arrived by Patna Janshatabdi Express has been arrested and stolen mobile phones worth more than 5 lakhs have been seized from him. The GRP has registered a case against the accused. According to the information, on the information of the informer, his team under the leadership of Inspector Satyendra Singh, CIB in-charge of RPF, started surveillance in the old complex. Meanwhile, Patna Janshatabdi Special train reached Howrah station.

The CIB team started interrogation by stopping a young man who got off the train on the basis of suspicion. When his bag was searched, 29 smart phones were recovered. On not giving a satisfactory answer, the youth was taken into custody and questioning was started. It was learned that the recovered mobile phones were of theft, for which he had reached Howrah by boarding Jan Shatabdi Express from Lakhisarai station to sell. After this, preparations were made to go to Kolkata and sell the stolen mobile.

During interrogation, he named his name as Abhishek Raj (22) son Sahdeo Sah resident of Teddy Bazar of Jamalpur of Police Station East Colony area under Munger district of Bihar. The value of the seized mobile is said to be around Rs 5 lakh 10 thousand. RPF handed over the accused youth to GRP. A case has been registered against the accused under section 379/411/414 of IPC.
