Rohit Suresh Saraf opens up about working with Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar in the Sky Is Pink.
Rohit Suresh Saraf is headlining the new Ishq Vishk film, Ishq Vishk Rebound. The film marks his first big screen project as a leading actor. However, Rohit is not new to the big screen. He has starred in projects such as Dear Zindagi and Vikram Vedha. He is also often remembered for his performance in The Sky Is Pink. Rohit shared the screen with Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar. In an exclusive chat with News18 Showsha recently, Rohit opened up about one of his fondest memories of Priyanka and it involved Nick Jonas.
“We were shooting this one particular sequence where Farhan’s character and my character, after the sister has passed, we sit together and bawl together. It was a heartbreaking scene that we shot together. It was also very beautiful to share that kind of equation with Farhan in that moment. That’s why I love such scenes where you just get to share so much with your co-actor and it was a beautiful scene. That was draining and we were actually bawling,” Rohit told us, referring to the last scene in The Sky Is Pink.
“Right after that we went to the farmhouse PeeCee was staying at and her entire family was there and there was Easter. They did like a whole feast for all of us after which all of us, the entire crew, PeeCee’s entire family, including Nick Jonas, all of us danced to Desi Girl. It was great fun,” he added.
Released in 2019, The Sky is Pink marked Priyanka’s first film after she married Nick Jonas. It was also a film that she co-produced. Besides Rohit, Farhan Akhtar and Priyanka Chopra, the film also starred former actress Zaira Wasim.
Meanwhile, Rohit climbed the ladder of success with the release of his series Mismatch. With Ishq Vishk Rebound, the actor’s popularity is expected to only increase. Directed by Nipun Dharmadhikari, the film also stars Pashmina Roshan, Jibraan Khan, and Naila Grrewal. The film is slated to release on June 21 in cinemas.
