The trailer of Rocket Boys 2 was packed with some interesting elements that are going to make the second season even better.
The much awaited second season of The Rocket Boys, the biographical show on Jim Sarbh and Ishwak Singh, is nearing release. And since the first season ended with a cliffhanger, people are all the more excited to see where the story began. The second season shows the reducing interests of Homi J Bhabha (Jim Sarbh) and Dr. Vikram Sarabhai. India on stage as one of the world’s nuclear nations. The makers have released the first teaser and fans are eagerly waiting to see what is next in store for these two brilliant scientists.
In a one minute and sixteen second long teaser, it perfectly sums up the tension as scientists are determined to test a nuclear bomb amid the Americans trying to sabotage their plans by constant monitoring and spying. But that doesn’t stop Homi Bhabha (Jim Sarbh) from his plans. On the other hand, Vikram Sarabhai (Ishwak Singh) teams up with Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Dr. Raja Ramanna and Dr. Homi Sethna to execute his plans after consulting with Prime Minister Indira Gandhi (Charu Shankar).
Reacting to the teaser of the show, one of the fans commented, “One of the best series I have seen so far and I have seen many.” Another commented, “Can’t wait for this!!” Someone else said, “Waiting for some good stuff!!” Another said, “Don’t know why but this teaser is giving me Oppenheimer vibes!!” One of them commented, “Deeply waiting for the second part!!”
In an exclusive conversation with News18.com, Ishwak Singh said, “Well done. We shot for Rocket Boys for a long time during the pandemic and it was very challenging. We shot a lot of both the seasons together. It was a healthy experience. When Rocket Boys 2 came out, the result and the appreciation I received was amazing and gratifying. Now that I know the second season is coming soon, I am eagerly waiting for it. There will be an expectation from the audience but we are very confident about what we have created. Season 2 is very powerful so I am very excited about it.”
Written and directed by Abhay Pannu, the first season of the Hindi period drama premieres on SonyLIV on February 4, 2022. It also stars Arjun Radhakrishnan, Regina Cassandra, Rajat Kapoor, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Namit Das, Saba Azad and Charu Shankar. The show is all set to hit the streaming platform in March this year.
