A newly married woman was caught before fleeing with cash and jewellery, in village Balambha in Haryana’s Rohtak district. Her in-laws handed over her and her two brothers to the police. During interrogation, it has been revealed that the newlyweds have been married twice before. She fled with jewelry and cash from both the places. The victims lodged a complaint against the accused by giving a complaint to the police.

At present, the matter is being settled by both the parties. If legal action has to be taken in any case, then the HIV test of the woman will be done for safety. Along with the newlyweds, a bag has been recovered from the two youths, including her brother, from which more than 70 sleeping pills have been recovered. The boys have expressed suspicion of some big gang behind it.

In the complaint given to the police, Kavita, a resident of village Balambha, told that she has two sons. The elder son does Happy farming. She is married, while the younger son Vikas was married on August 19 in village troop of Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand. Even after giving one and a half lakh rupees to the girl’s family for the wedding expenses, a total of three lakh rupees was spent in the marriage including other expenses.

The victim’s family told that when the bride used to talk on the phone in the maternal house, they suspected something untoward. That’s why he gave the call recording phone to the newlyweds. After this, when the in-laws heard the call recording in the absence of the bride, their senses were blown away. He told the family not to feel heart and requested to take him away from here. On this, the girl’s family replied that they were sending her brother with sleeping pills. Feed these in-laws to the in-laws at night. After that, running away with the youths with cash, jewelry and other items.

From there too, she came back after a few days with jewelry, cash and other items.

Will get HIV test done if legal action is taken

Inspector Shamsher Singh, in-charge of Meham police station, said that at present talks of agreement between both the parties are going on. The groom’s side is demanding to return the amount imposed on the marriage. If legal action is taken in the matter, then the HIV test of the woman will definitely be done.

The woman used to find her target with the gang, then married her and went to her in-laws’ house. If she could not collect arbitrary money from her in-laws, she used to rob the house along with the gang members and ran away. Police interrogation revealed that the accused woman is the mother of two children. She was abandoned by her husband four years ago, after which she started a racket to rob people on the pretext of marriage.
