The situation on the bypass became even worse, with several vehicles submerged in water. Here a car was seen floating in the water. Relief and rescue work is going on by the administration, but all the arrangements were seen in a hurry in front of the heavy rains.

According to the information, it started raining in Batala Road, Majitha Road and Bypass area earlier at 6 am. After about an hour of pocket rain, the whole city was covered by clouds. At seven o’clock the whole city started raining, which till 12 noon recorded 113 mm of rain. Even after this, the slow rain kept the weather pleasant. The city received 124.6 mm of rain till 4 pm on Friday. Whereas on Thursday only 14 mm of rain was recorded. There was no significant increase in the day temperature due to rain. At 4 pm, the day temperature was recorded at 26 degrees, which reaches more than 30 degrees on normal days.
