RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav meets Telangana CM KCR, speculation of third front against BJP intensifies

Rashtriya Janata Dal leader and former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav’s son Tejashwi Yadav on Tuesday met Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao at Pragati Bhavan in the midst of the assembly elections in five states.

The meeting was also attended by KT Rama Rao and other TRS leaders, prompting speculation about a Third Front plan to fight against the BJP government in future elections.

A release issued by the CMO said that Tejashwi Yadav along with former minister Abdul Bari Siddiqui, former MLC Sunil Singh and former MLA Bhola Yadav met the CM.

Recently leaders of the Left parties – Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan, former CM Manik Sarkar, CPM national leader Sitaram Yechury, state leaders T Veerabhadram, CPI leaders D Raja, state leaders Chada Venkata Reddy, Palla Venkata Reddy – said ” BJP Mukt Bharat” was discussed. With CM KCR to defeat NDA Govt.

Yechury later said, “We will join hands with any political party, including TRS, in future elections.”

The Left leaders, however, claimed that the TRS leaders were “soft on the BJP government as they supported some policies and opposed some”.

To further his federal front, KCR has been in touch with other national leaders to fight unitedly against the policy failures of the BJP government to suppress the farmers. TRS leaders alleged that three agriculture laws were repealed in view of elections in only five states.

KCR recently met his Tamil Nadu counterpart MK Stalin during his two-day itinerary to Chennai. The Telangana CM has said that he will join hands with any party to fight against the Congress-led UPA alliance and will be cautious of similar front-line moves by West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee at the national level.

The Chief Minister of Telangana has repeatedly slammed the BJP government for failing to procure quota of paddy and rice from the state.
