‘River cruise on holy Ganga has bar…’ Akhilesh Yadav

Rae Bareli: A day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the world’s longest river cruise, MV Ganga Vilas, in Varanasi, Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday took a jibe at the BJP, saying the Bharatiya Janata Party’s tradition This is a re-opening of existing items as the cruise has been in service for the past 17 years and now has bars serving alcohol. Yadav also said that only the BJP can confirm the existence of bars on the cruise as he has not been on it. Addressing media persons in Rae Bareli, the SP chief said, “This river cruise is going on for the last many years, it is not a new thing and someone told me that it is going on for the last 17 years. They (BJP) Only a part was added.” And saying that we have started it. These BJP people are far ahead in campaigning and lying. I have also heard that the cruise on the holy river Ganga is not just a cruise, it also has bars that serve alcohol.”

“The BJP is re-inaugurating existing things during the election campaign for the purpose of elections,” he said. “Till recent times, we used to sit there listening to the aartis of Mother Ganga and listening to the objects of devotion. Whenever we went on boat rides in the Ganges, people would explain what we could do and what we could not do. Because it’s a religious place. Now only BJP people can tell whether there is a bar on the cruise or not. We haven’t entered it yet.”
