India captain Rohit Sharma scored a brilliant century on the second day of the first Test against Australia in Nagpur. Rohit’s century has created tremendous buzz on social media and cricket lovers are praising the captain on social media.

But among all the congratulatory posts, one stood out. Rohit’s wife Ritika Sajdeh reacted to Rohit’s century on her Instagram story.

Sharing a stunning picture of Rohit, Ritika wrote, “I love you Rohit Sharma, but please send the other fingers.”

Interestingly, Ritika has a habit of crossing her fingers when her husband is at the crease. Often fans share pictures of Ritika who is feeling nervous while watching Rohit bat.

Rohit brought up his ninth Test century on Friday and tore apart Australia’s bowling attack on a challenging track. In the process, Rohit became the first Indian captain to score centuries in all three formats of the game.

Rohit’s memorable hundred, his first as Test captain, included 15 fours and two sixes. The knock also ended his century drought in red-ball cricket.

The veteran batsman last registered a triple-digit score in September 2021 against England. Also, Rohit showed remarkable composure as wickets kept falling at the other end.

Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, R Ashwin and Suryakumar Yadav failed to make a significant contribution as they all got out cheaply.

But Rohit steadied the ship with the returning Ravindra Jadeja. Jadeja and Akshar Patel added an unbeaten 81 for the eighth wicket to put their team in a position of strength.

At the end of the second day of the Nagpur Test, the hosts were ahead of Australia by 144 runs, aided by fifties from Jadeja and Patel. He scored 229 on the third day before being dismissed for 400.

And then on the third day, Ravichandran Ashwin worked his magic to take five wickets as Australia were bundled out for just 91 runs in their second innings.
