The former NITI Aayog CEO and G20 Sherpa to Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be part of the session Incredible India: Destination Bharat

Among the key speakers at the Rising Bharat Summit 2024, the fourth edition of the CNN-News18 marquee leadership conclave to be held in New Delhi on March 19-20, will be Amitabh Kant, Indian bureaucrat and India’s G20 Sherpa to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Through insightful discussions, thought-provoking panels and visionary keynote address, Rising Bharat aims to delve deeper into the multifaceted dimensions of India’s global influence and its role in shaping a more equitable and sustainable future for all with its mantra — ‘Leading for Global Good’. The PM will deliver the keynote address of the event.

Kant has driven key reforms and initiatives during his tenure as the second chief executive officer of NITI Aayog, a public policy think tank of the Government of India. He is a retired member of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), and has been a key driver of flagship national initiatives such as Startup India, Make in India, Incredible India, Kerala: God’s Own Country, and the Aspirational Districts Programme.

During the G20 presidency, he assumed the role of India’s Sherpa to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, entrusted with representing the nation’s interests in the multilateral forum. Under the directive of the PM, he was responsible for implementing a presidency that was ambitious, inclusive, and focused on representing the interests of the Global South.

Kant is a prolific author and his notable books include “Branding India-An Incredible Story”, “Incredible India 2.0″, and “Made in India: 75 Years of Business and Enterprise”. He also co-authored “The Elephant Moves: India’s New Place in the World” with Amit Kapoor.
