The wedding of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt was the most special. While many celebrities attended his wedding and post-wedding party, one person who was greatly missed was Ranbir’s late father Rishi Kapoor. However, do you know that Rishi Kapoor’s last wish was that his son Ranbir should get married.
During a recent episode of talent hunt reality show Hunarbaaz, Neetu Kapoor talked about how much she missed her late husband during Ranbir and Alia’s wedding. He further revealed that Rishi Kapoor’s last wish was to see Ranbir get married. “It was Rishi ji’s last wish that my son should get married. And I was watching his last wish being fulfilled. I only wished that he was there to see it but he is watching,” Neetu Kapoor said.
Earlier, Neetu Kapoor also shared an adorable picture with her son Ranbir and dedicated the click to Kapoor saab. “It is dedicated to Kapoor sahib. Your wish has come true,” she wrote. Not only this, Rishi Kapoor’s name was also written on Neetu Kapoor’s palm with Mehndi.
For those unaware, Rishi Kapoor passed away in April 2020 due to a prolonged illness. His last film Sharmaji Namkeen was released recently. During the promotions of the film, Ranbir revealed acting tips he received from his father before his untimely death. “My father rightly believed that every actor has to find his own path. You have to learn from your mistakes, and develop your skill set,” the actor had said.
Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt tied the knot on April 14 in an intimate ceremony in the presence of only family and close friends. Their wedding and pre-wedding ceremony took place at Ranbir’s Vastu residence in Mumbai. They are dating since 2017. On the work front, Ranbir and Alia will be seen together on the big screen for the first time in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra.
