The couple were taken hand in hand while strolling the streets of New York City over the weekend, where Rihanna debuted her baby bump while wearing a long pink puffer jacket. Her massive outerwear was swung down to reveal her growing bulge.
A new report in Us Weekly claims that the couple is extremely excited about embracing parenthood. A source told Us Weekly, “ASAP is obsessed with Rihanna and feels like he’s never loved her more than when she was pregnant.” “They’re both so excited to be parents.” The “Umbrella” singer, 33, has been vocal about her desire to start a family in the past. The insider added, “Rihanna has wanted to be a mother for many years and she is thrilled that it is finally happening.”
Rihanna spoke about motherhood at her fifth Diamond Ball in New York City in 2019: “I’m a black woman. I came from a black woman, who came from a black woman, who came from a black woman, and I’m going to give birth to a black woman. It’s not a matter of mind. that’s who I am. I am the core of who I am in spirit and DNA.”
After months of dating rumours, the two have publicly turned their long-standing friendship into a romance during the pandemic. In an interview with GQ magazine in May 2019, A$AP called her “my lady” and “the love of my life”. Regarding the relationship, the “PMW” rapper talked about their trip on a rented tour bus last summer and how the experience strengthened their bond.
When asked how it feels to be in a relationship after his past as a woman man, he said: “So much better when you find the one. He’s probably, like other guys, worth a million. I guess when you know, you know. He’s the one.” He also talked about having children in the future, telling GQ: “If it’s in my destiny, of course.”
