The electric scooter segment has been witnessing a massive growth and several OEMs have shifted their focus to such vehicles, specifically in the commuter space. To cater to this segment, Revolt Motors has launched its new commuter electric motorcycle – the Revolt RV1 – with a starting price of Rs 85,000. Here’s all you need to know about the new electric motorcycle:

Revolt RV1 Electric Motorcycle Launched

Revolt Motors are one of the oldest electric motorcycle manufacturers in the country and the RV1 is its most affordable offering yet. The RV1 boasts a modern design with a retro twist, having a lower-tier equipment compared to its sibling RV400, which has been selling for some years now. Along with RV1 launch, the company has also updated its flagship RV400, which now offers an extended 160km range and comes with a new Lunar Green colour.

Revolt RV1 Electric Motorcycle: Price

The base model of RV1 is priced at Rs 84,999 (ex-showroom), while the higher-spec RV1+ costs Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom). The RV1 range claims to offer up to three times lower running costs compared to ICE motorcycles of a similar category.

The Revolt RV1 is equipped with a 2.2 kWh battery pack, which the company claims can offer 100km of range on a single charge. On the other hand, the RV1+ offers a claimed rage of 160km, thanks to its larger 3.24 kWh battery.

RV1 Range Vs RV400: What’s Different?

The RV1 range are equipped with cheaper components compared to the RV400, to be affordable. While the RV400 boasts a fancier belt-drive, the RV1 range gets inferior one.

Revolt has cut-down on more features like handling suspension duty and RSU telescopic front forks and rear twin shock absorbers. However, the load-bearing capacity with this set up is an impressive 250kg.

Both ends have disc brakes, while 90-section tyre wraps the 17-inch alloy wheels at the front and 110-section at the rear. The electric motor churns out 2.8 kW of peak power and an out. put of 3.75 bhp. The kerb weight is 108kg, with the ground clearance at 180 mm. Features list includes LED headlight, LED tail light, LED DRL and LED turn indicators, a 6-inch instrument cluster, a long seat, a reverse mode, a dedicated storage for charger, and Bluetooth connectivity.
