It was a memorable evening for Hong Kong batter Kinchit Shah as after the match, Kinchit Shah was seen going up to the stands at the Dubai International Stadium and proposing to his girlfriend, Sheena Oberoi.
The romantic proposal on national television completely shocked Sheena. She accepted the proposal and said yes to this fairytale moment. Both hugged each other and their video is going viral.
We spoke to Sheena who works at ETimes as a video content producer and she shared her experience with us, “Before the match, he didn’t throw a single hint that something this huge is going to happen, so I had no idea about this. I was just focused on his game that he should play well”.
After the match, while she was watching all the cricketers interacting with the media, she couldn’t spot her man, “My eyes were searching for him constantly because the Hong Kong team was about to be interviewed but I couldn’t locate him anywhere near his team.”
“And then he comes from behind with a camera person to record the whole thing and goes on his knees to pop the question. I was shocked yet pleasantly surprised,” she added.
Kinchit planned this whole romantic gesture because Sheena had once mentioned that it would be nice if he proposed to her on the field. But she had absolutely no idea that he would remember that and actually make her dream come true.
She also shared that Kinchit was very determined for her to come and watch the match even after her busy schedule, but still, she could not guess that something was coming her way.
When asked about the next step she shared that it is a beautiful space they both are in right now and there would definitely be a marriage in the future.
