About 2600 villagers live in this village, located 200 km from Pune, and so far no incident of snakebite has been reported from here. The villagers claim that the reptiles are harmless, anyone who is fond of snakes can visit this village. Visitors can offer snake milk or eggs at any villager’s house.

Even when building a new home, villagers include a dedicated corner for snakes where they can go and be worshipped or offered milk.
