India has pulled up Pakistan for raising the issue of Kashmir in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC). Along with this, there has been a demand from the neighboring country to immediately vacate all the areas under illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir. India also said that Pakistan has misused the platforms given by the United Nations and spread malicious propaganda against it.

‘Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh are an integral part of India’
Kajal Bhat, advisor to India’s Permanent Mission to the UN, said that I would like to clarify about India’s position that the entire Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh was and will always be integral to India. He said that this also includes those areas which are under illegal occupation of Pakistan. We demand from Pakistan to immediately vacate all areas under its illegal occupation.

India has retaliated after Pakistan raised the issue of Kashmir in the group of 15 countries. Bhat said that I am compelled to come on stage once again to reply to some frivolous remarks made by the representative of Pakistan.

‘Pakistan misused UN platforms’
Bhat himself belongs to Jammu and Kashmir. He responded to Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United Nations Munir Akram’s remarks in the UN Security Council on the issue of Jammu and Kashmir. He said, “This is not the first time that the representative of Pakistan has misused the platforms of the United Nations to propagate false and malicious propaganda against my country. At the same time, he wants to divert the attention of the world from the sad state of his country. It is trying, where terrorists are roaming freely. The livelihood of common people, especially minorities, is in trouble.”

‘Strict action against terrorism will continue’
Bhat said India will continue to take strong and decisive action against cross-border terrorism emanating from Pakistan. “India seeks normal neighborly relations with all countries, including Pakistan, and wishes to resolve the remaining issues bilaterally and peacefully in accordance with the Simla Agreement and the Lahore Declaration,” Bhat told the UN Security Council.
