On November 25, the first match of the Test series against New Zealand will be played at Green Park. The players of the Indian team reached the Hotel Landmark Tower here on Friday. Both the teams will stay here for 11 days. Some players will come here after the T20 series. Players of both the teams have made their special demands in food. They have to taste the Kanpuriya Khichdi. Apart from this, Kiwi players have demanded salad and nuts in breakfast.
Players welcome with lemon juice and coconut water, diet plan special
Players who reached Kanpur were welcomed with lemon juice and coconut water. Balanced diet has been arranged for the players in the diet plan of BCCI. Team members are being served breakfast of salad, soup, idli, dosa and poha. A diet high in protein will be given with lentils and rice along with veg and non-veg. Players will be given 3 types of soup, salad, dry non-veg snacks. Snacks along with veg and non-veg will be provided for the players after the gym and at the tea-break.
Preparations have been completed for the Test match at Green Park Stadium.
Players’ Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
The New Zealand team has made a special demand for salad and nuts for breakfast. Meat, chicken, fish, and khichdi will be served for lunch. Soups, plain biscuits, fruit cakes, mixed nuts will be given during tea time. Only Khichdi and Pasta will be served for dinner.

Vayu restaurant built on the 16th floor of the hotel is also reserved
The employees who prepared and served the players’ food were quarantined. He will stay in the hotel during the entire match. Apart from this, the Vayu restaurant on the 16th floor of the hotel has also been reserved for the players.
Specialties of Kanpur Khichdi
This khichdi is different because the spice of Kanpur changes its taste. Spicy spices are added to the khichdi. Salt is present only in normal quantity. When Khichdi is ready, it is served separately with ghee. Pickle doubles its taste. Some people also keep green coriander, lemon and onion separately in it as a salad.
Meals will be different for practice session and match day
Separate meals will be given to both the teams for the practice session and on the day of the match. On the day of the match, where Indian players will be served tur dal and veg kadhai along with maize and bajra roti in the dressing room at lunch time.
The Kiwi players will also be served salad with red meat and nuts along with sugar free drinks in the dressing room. After the match, where the Indian team will be given Mutton Biryani, Veg Biryani with Vanilla Ice Cream. The Kiwi team will be given fresh fruits to eat along with chicken and pasta.
