The incident took place on Thursday in an area called Nadanghat in East Bardhaman district. The relationship of a man named Khokan Das had soured, after which his girlfriend left him. After the break-up, Khokan angrily climbed a mobile tower and threatened to jump. Her cries soon attracted a large crowd, and the matter quickly reached the local police station. Police officers reached the spot in a hurry.

The police tried hard to bring him down, but he refused. Then they brought a microphone and continued their efforts. But the young man was adamant on refusing to bow down. In the end, when all else failed, the police called his mother and friends to the scene. At the same time, he also promised to act as a mediator and fix things between her and her lover. Hearing this, the young man finally gave up and came down. According to a report by ABP Anand, he was drunk.

After coming down, Khokan was taken to Nadanghat police station and questioned about this strange incident. Police officers are trying to understand what kind of problem they faced.
