Renault Kiger, Triber, Kwid to get dearer by January 1, 2023: Here’s why

The Indian subsidiary of French car brand Renault has announced to increase the prices of its model line-up till the beginning of the year 2023. The company announced on Wednesday (December 7, 2022) that it will be hiking the prices across the Indian range. Which includes Kiger, Kwid and Triber. According to the brand, the main reason for the increase in prices is the increase in production cost. The company is witnessing increased input cost due to costlier raw material, fluctuating foreign exchange rates and inflation. However, the company confirmed these partially offset the impact of the above factors.

The company said that India is a key market for Renault with a long-term strategy to develop the brand in the dynamic Indian market. Over the years, Renault has focused on establishing a strong base in India which includes a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, a world-class technology centre, two design centres, 500 sales and over 500 service touchpoints. Going forward, Renault said it will continue with its product aggressive strategy in India and work towards substantially developing the Renault brand in India. Renault also said that it plans to bring several new innovations in products and services for the diverse Indian customers.

Along with launching products of global repute, Renault said it has a strong ‘India strategy’, with a heavy emphasis on localization across the current and future range of products, providing a compelling value proposition to customers . As per reports, Renault India had announced huge discounts on a wide range of vehicles for the month of December. The European auto company said that it is offering offers on Renault Triber, Renault Kwid and Renault Kiger. Of these, the Renault Triber was available with a maximum discount of up to Rs 50,000.
