Remedy for curly hair – Times of India

Most people with curly hair will relate to this – how many times have you noticed that your hair ends up looking like a bird’s nest, even minutes after combing and using tons of products? but do not worry; You are not alone in this. Most people avoid treating this frizz by blaming the texture of their hair, which is caused by dryness. However, this can be dealt with with a little extra effort and a bit of DIY effort! Below are some DIY techniques to tame frizzy hair:

1. Avocado Hair Mask

This fruit is loaded with vitamins that will help straighten your hair and provide moisture to your dull or dry hair, which can eventually turn frizzy. To make an avocado mask, you need to mash a ripe avocado and add a few teaspoons of coconut oil, depending on the consistency. Then, after applying it religiously to your hair and scalp about twice a week, you will see results!

2. Mayonnaise

A hair mask made of mayonnaise is one of the best options to tame frizz. It provides a beautiful layer of shine to your hair as well as provides hydration. This hair mask can be made as a smooth paste of mayonnaise, almond oil and egg. It should be applied twice a week on your hair and scalp for best results.

3. Lemon and Honey

Some people call lemon a miracle fruit, which is rich in vitamin C. This combination works wonders for guys. Honey locks the moisture in and achieves shiny, silky hair. It should be applied once every two weeks on the scalp and hair in the ratio of 3:2 for 30 minutes and in the meantime apply other hair masks. This remedy shows promising results.

4. Beer

Apart from being everyone’s drinking preference, it is also everyone’s first priority when it comes to frizzy hair solutions. It contains a lot of vitamins and proteins that can nourish dry and unhealthy hair. This is why beer shampoos are commonly found. It can be used by decarbonizing it overnight and massaging it onto shampooed scalp and hair. This should be followed once in two weeks!

5. Aloe Vera

Aloe vera contains amino acids that promote shine and growth and hence help in reducing frizz. Plus, it works well as a de-tangler and helps lock in moisture. Equal proportions of aloe vera and almond oil can be left on the hair and scalp for more than an hour to see results.

6. Banana

Mash a banana in such a way that no lumps are visible, then add honey and oil to make a paste which is to be kept on the hair for 30 minutes. This is to be done for hair that is extremely curly once a week.
