At its 2022 Annual General Meeting (AGM), Reliance Industries unveiled several upcoming ventures, services and products that include 5G launch, and new AirFiber, among others. Along with that the company has also announced its virtual PC concept with its newly announced Jio Cloud PC.
Jio Cloud PC: What is it
Jio Cloud PC, as the name implies, is a virtual PC service offered by Reliance Jio. The Jio Cloud PC, according to the company, will allow users to use the virtual PC hosted in the cloud via the JioAirFiber service. The company also emphasised that users won’t require to purchase computer hardware and upgrade them time-to-time to keep up with the upcoming technological changes.
Jio Cloud PC can help save money
Jio Cloud PC, being a virtual PC will require users to purchase the Jio Cloud PC device once. That will, according to the company, help users save the upfront investment needed to purchase the computer hardware. Along with that, it is a cloud-based service which means the updates are also cloud-based ending up saving the expense of periodic upgrades. According to the company, with Jio Cloud PC “ a user needs to pay only to the extent used”.
Jio Cloud PC will be available for home and business users
Reliance has also confirmed in its keynote that the Jio Cloud PC will be available for both home users and business users. Also, the system can be used by students, working professionals, businesses, vendors, etc.
Jio Cloud PC device details
Reliance hasn’t revealed any specific details about the Jio Cloud PC device that was showcased at the AGM 2022 event. However, the device image appeared to be a JioFiber model-like device with a couple of USB ports, an HDMI port and an Ethernet port.

As of now, the company hasn’t revealed much about the rollout plans and how much the service will cost users.
