Release date of Vishnu Unnikrishnan’s Kuri postponed due to technical reasons

Mollywood actor Vishnu Unnikrishnan was all set to entertain the audience as a cop character in his upcoming thriller Kuri, directed by KR Praveen. However, just a day before the release, the makers postponed the film due to adverse weather conditions and technical glitches.

KR Praveen, who also wrote the script of the film, announced the news through his Instagram handle along with a poster of the film and wrote, “It is a struggle to bring out every film. Kuri’s situation is no different. We have reached this point with such difficulty! There is no doubt that the people behind this type of film will be the people you would most like to see in theaters with you. but; Due to unfavorable natural conditions and some other technical reasons, the release date of the film has been postponed.”

The makers will soon announce a new date for the film, initially slated to release on July 8. Considered to be a suspense thriller, the film has been shot in the vicinity of Vandiperiyar area of ​​Idukki.

Apart from Unnikrishnan, Kuri’s cast includes actors like Surabhi Lakshmi, Vinod Thomas, Sagar Surya, Pramod Velayanad, Chala Pali, Vishnu Govindan and Aditi Ravi in ​​pivotal roles.

The anticipation for Kuri is high among the audience and the already released trailer has only raised the expectations.

Meanwhile, Unnikrishnan’s previous outing was the Malayalam film Randu, in which he played the lead role of Vava. Apart from Kuri, he has several ambitious films in the pipeline including Eyal, Sabash Chandra Bose, Shaalmon, Anuradha Crime No. 59/2019, and Marathakam.
