According to industry sources, Kannada star Yash’s KGF: Chapter 2 may earn over Rs 200 crore before its release.
Yash starrer much awaited Kannada film KGF: Chapter 2 is going to release in theaters on April 14. The film will also be dubbed and released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi languages. The film has surprised everyone with its pre-release business. It also looks like Kannada star Yash will soon be joining the likes of Prabhas and Ram Charan as far as the international appeal is concerned.

There are high expectations from this film in all languages. The market has also tripled since the release of KGF Chapter 1. Yash was a relatively unknown actor outside the Kannada film industry at that time, but the film changed all that and Yash is a huge fan following the success of KGF Chapter 1.
According to trade analysts, Rs 70 crore is being cited for the film rights for the Telugu version, which is a huge amount in the Telugu region. Rs 70 crore for the film will put Yash in the league of prominent Tollywood stars like Jr NTR, Mahesh Babu and Ram Charan. The films of these stars do business of such amount. Distributors in Tollywood are reportedly apprehensive of the rates quoted.
However, there are rumors that renowned Telugu film distributor Dil Raju has acquired the film rights for Rs 66 crore keeping in mind the craze for the film. The first part sold for just Rs 5 crore and hence it is a big achievement for the sequel. Up to Rs 80 crore is being bid for the film for overseas rights. Industry sources say that KGF: Chapter 2 will do a pre-release business of up to Rs 240 crore across all languages.
