New Delhi: Earlier this week, my true form Confirmed that it is ready to enter the high-end smartphone segment. The company’s CEO Sky Lee has confirmed that the smartphone maker is set to launch high-end smartphones priced above $800 (Rs 59,500).
Now a Realme executive has hinted that the Chinese smartphone maker may launch a foldable and under-display camera phone. There is a possibility that Realme may launch the smartphone next year.
In a Weibo post, Realme China, CMO, ju qi chase said that new smartphone types such as under-screen cameras and foldable technology will be ‘more mature’ by next year. Chase posted, “In 2022, high-resolution and high-quality digger screens will become mainstream, and new forms such as under-screen and folding will mature further.”
Hence, there is a possibility that Realme may also join the band of foldable smartphones next year. Another Weibo post suggests that Realme’s first foldable smartphone could be called the Realme GT 2 Fold.
A sketch of Realme’s upcoming foldable smartphone was also posted on Weibo. Designed by Realme Design Studio, the smartphone is expected to come with an 8-inch internal AMOLED display and a 6.5-inch external screen.
The design also highlights that the smartphone could have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and bottom firing speaker. In terms of design, the smartphone looks somewhat similar samsung galaxy fold,
Rumors suggest that the company may consider the inclusion of an E5 AMOLED display that is seen in other flagship smartphones. Along with this, the company is also expected to improve its main camera and add a telephoto lens to the upcoming expensive smartphone.
