New Delhi: Smartphone maker Realme on Monday introduced its much-awaited, premium flagship smartphone series – the Realme GT2 series – in its home turf of China. The Realme GT 2 starts at RMB 2,599 or around Rs 30,410, the Realme GT 2 Pro will start at RMB 3,699 or around Rs 43,377 during the early bird sale. This makes the Realme GT2 Pro sit in an area that OnePlus abandoned long ago.
The Realme GT 2 Pro is the handset maker’s first true premium flagship that comes with the world’s first Bio-based MasterDesigner, 2K LTPO AMOLED screen, and features the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, largest heatsink area, and triple camera system. . The smartphone comes with company-owned 65W SuperDart charging, 5000mAh battery, advanced antenna matrix system and Dolby Atmos dual stereo speakers.

The GT2 Pro also comes pre-installed with Realme UI 3.0 based on Android 12 out of the box. The Realme GT 2 Pro will be available in three storage variants: 8GB+128GB, 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB, in four colors: Paper White, Paper Green, Steel Black and Titanium Blue. Co-designed by renowned designer Naoto Fukusawa and Realme Design Studio, the Realme GT2 Pro is the world’s first smartphone to feature a bio-based polymer design in line with the company’s vision of sustainability.
Other specs of the GT2 Pro include the largest industrial heat dissipation area of 36761 mm for 3°C cooling to maximize chip performance. The company claimed that the cooling area is made with an all-new 9-layer cooling structure with 4129 mm stainless steel VC area, which further enhances the performance. The Realme GT2 Pro also features the world’s first ARM v9 architecture, which delivers 30 percent peak performance and sustained efficiency hype.
The Realme GT 2 Pro packs a triple camera setup with 50MP Sony IMX 766 primary sensor with 1/1.56 sensor size, optical image stabilization and electronic image stabilization. There is also a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera with 1/2.76 sensor size, 150-degree field-of-view and a 2MP macro sensor.
The vanilla Realme GT 2 comes with a 6.62-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution. The GT 2 has the previous generation Snapdragon 888 chip.
