Realme is likely to be the next brand to enter the foldable segment in 2023.

Realme is officially testing the waters for its foldable products, and Madhav Sheth, VP, Realme is taking on-ground feedback from users. He reached out to millions of followers through this tweet and asked them if they would like Realme to launch a flip or foldable device in the market.

He has also confirmed the names of the models which will be called Realme Flip and Realme Fold for the regular Fold model.

Realme is one of the remaining brands to have entered the space or talked about its plans. OnePlus and Oppo have already worked with their respective foldable products, and it was clear that Realme would be the next in line to enter the space. The interesting thing is that Realme is still considering whether to bring a flip phone or fold it.

Most of the brands in this segment have either launched both the form factors (Oppo and Samsung) or have introduced at least one folded version (like Xiaomi). Motorola is an exception in this case, launching only the Razr flip phone and moving on to other concept models like the Rollable Screen for Phones.

Oppo has recently launched Find N2 Flip in India and other markets. The company will share the Find N2 Flip India price next week, giving us an idea of its likely competition, which will no doubt include the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4.

Realme is likely to focus on the lower price band with its foldables and it makes sense to initially focus on a flip model and then a fold model for buyers. Mobile World Congress 2023 this month has shown us that more brands are ready to enter the foldable arena and this will be exciting for consumers.
