thenNational Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) 2022 will be conducted on 17th July by National Testing Agency (NTA), However, most of the students are disappointed with the exam date. According to the students, they need more time for preparation. With the CBSE Class 12 board exams starting from April 26 and continuing till June 15, students say they have little gap left to prepare for the medical entrance exam as well as the board.

A large section of students is now demanding an adjournment. They want enough time to prepare for medical entrance unlike JEE Mains which is held once every year. Some students have taken to social media to demand change in NEET 2022 dates with the hashtags #PostponeNEETUG2022, and #ReschduleNEETUG2022.

“JEE Advanced has been postponed till August 28. The government should once consider the demands of NEET aspirants and extend the date by 1 month. So that they can prepare and give the exam without any stress.

“Please respond to our pleas @DG_NTA. For the past two years we already had enough of the trauma. Postpone NEET for a month. This is the only thing we want,” wrote another.

Apart from freshers wanting more time to prepare, last year’s dropper has made the same demand. He has highlighted that the counseling process of NEET 2021 was postponed, leaving little with him to prepare.

The registration process for NEET 2022 is underway and the last date to apply is May 6. This year the duration of the exam has been increased by 20 minutes. that means, Students will get 3 hours 20 minutes or 200 minutes to solve 180 questions, The age limit criterion has also been done away with. Till last year, the upper age limit was 25 years for general candidates and 30 years for reserved candidates. It has now been removed.
