Re-run NEET candidates with parents. Coimbatore News – Times of India

Coimbatore: Thanks to Periyanaikanapalayam police, a 19-year-old NEET aspirant, who ran away from home fearing failing a second time, was reunited with his parents on Thursday.
Police said the son of a school teacher had failed in the medical entrance exam last year. “He was depressed after re-exam on September 12 and ran away from home on Wednesday. He had left a note apologizing to his parents. He had promised to return after achieving success in life,” said a police officer.
Based on her mother’s complaint, the Periyanikapalayam police registered a missing person case.
The boy had reached Coimbatore railway junction in a call taxi and had boarded a train to Chennai. Inspector Kannan traced the taxi driver and alerted the Government Railway Police (GRP), who launched a search and found the boy on the train. The police handed him over to the Railway Police in Jolarpettai on Thursday morning.
A team from Periyanaikanapalayam station reached Jolarpettai and brought the boy to Coimbatore. “He was handed over to his parents,” the officer said.
