Ravens QB Lamar Jackson activated from COVID-19 list

Owings Mills, MD: Lamar Jackson has been activated from the COVID-19 list.

The Baltimore Ravens announced the move Friday. The quarterback hasn’t practiced during training camp yet.

Jackson’s absence was an early blow to the Ravens at Preseason Camp. He missed the team’s first practice on July 28, and coach John Harbaugh later announced that the star quarterback had tested positive for COVID-19. Jackson also tested positive last season and missed a game.

This is an important camp for Jackson as the Ravens try to boost their passing game in the off-season. After Baltimore acquired Sammy Watkins and drafted Rashod Bateman in the first round, Jackson could use up all the practice time he got with those two receivers.

Baltimore plays its first preseason game on August 14 against New Orleans.
