Rashmika Mandanna was trolled after a section of social media felt that she used air quotes to take a dig at Rishabh Shetty.

Rashmika Mandanna had to face a lot of trolling last year due to various reasons. One of them was for using seemingly air quotes while speaking about Rishabh Shetty.

Actress Rashmika Mandanna appeared to address trolling after she used air quotes while speaking about Rishabh Shetty. A few weeks ago, during an interview, Rashmika was talking about a project she was working on with the Kantara actor, but used airy quotes while speaking about it. Many fans felt it was a sarcasm on the Kannada star and trolled the actress. Even Rishabh looked annoyed by this. He sarcastically gestured without naming her.

Now, in a recent interview, Rashmika talked about how even her hand gestures are under scrutiny and she gets trolled for the same. Rashmika was in denial about being trolled and talked about the viral Instagram post that she shared addressing the trolls.

speaking with Bollywood Bubble, Rashmika said, “Being actors, we are always there. We are public persons. We cannot expect people to always like us. I can not lie. It’s weird because I’m an actor and I play all these different characters, but really, I can’t lie. I put that post out because it wasn’t just about me, there was a wave of negativity about most of us in the industry, and I thought, ‘Why is this happening? It’s not like we’re doing anything wrong.'”

“It made me think that the time has come for this kind of thing to happen. But after that, I realized that we can’t expect everyone to like us… The way I talk, I do these hand gestures, maybe nobody likes it, or people don’t like that I’m so expressive… But at the same time, there’s a lot of love, I’m really grateful for that.”

Recently, Kiccha Sudeepa also spoke about coming under fire for her comments on Rashmika not watching Kantara indirectly and told IndiaGlitz Telugu that stars should learn to face such situations and be strong. “When we know it’s going to happen, I think we’ll all be more sophisticated in what we talk about, how we speak or what we’re about to say. You might want to create an account on Facebook and Twitter And want 2 or 10 million followers but you don’t want this negative thing? Really?” he said.
