Rashmika Mandanna and Varun Dhawan are the latest stars to be bitten by the Arbi Kuthu bug. The Tamil song, starring actors Vijay and Pooja Hegde, has gone viral since its release, with many fans and stars seen performing on the track in the video. On Thursday, Rashmika and Varun jumped on the bandwagon and were seen doing hook steps to sing on the beach.
The Pushpa actress and the Coolie No 1 star looked like they were shooting for something together when they decided to take a break on the track. In the video shared on Instagram, Rashmika was seen wearing a red T-shirt with a short colored skirt and a denim jacket, while Varun opted for a white tee, a black shirt and a pair of brown denim pants. She completed her look with sunglasses. The two matched their steps as the song played in the background.
After the song is over, Rashmika is seen teasing Varun before hugging him. Sharing the video, Varun wrote, “Something about dancing on the sand yo habibo.” The video got the love of many fans. “Arabic kuthu is trending everywhere,” wrote one fan. “That’s great,” added another. “Can we do a Hindi remake of this song with this pair?” A fan requested. “This is super duper super cute,” commented a fourth fan.
Earlier, several stars including Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Keerthy Suresh had performed on the track. Arbi Kuthu, which released on February 13, went viral within a few days. It garnered over 100 million views in 12 days. Sivakarthikeyan has penned the lyrics of Halmathy Habibo while it is sung by Anirudh and Jonita Gandhi. The song is a part of Tamil star Thalapathy Vijay’s 65th film Beast, directed by Nelson Dilip Kumar. The film is produced by Sun Pictures, the same production house that previously produced Vijay’s film Sarkar.
