Women empowerment seems to be the new Brahmastra of the makers of Hindi cinema in the changing times. These things have also come into focus due to the amount of buzz the films of actresses like Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Kangana Ranaut, Taapsee Pannu and Anushka Sharma have released in the last five years. But, here it is for the time being Taapsee Pannu. Before joining Hindi cinema, he himself had set his career for five-seven years, but films like ‘Pink’, ‘Mulk’, ‘Soorma’ and ‘Badla’ proved him to be a long race runner. And, it is these films whose accolades have filled Taapsee Pannu with overconfidence. Taapsee is in the ‘hawa’ of her films like ‘Game Over’, ‘Saand Ki Aankh’ and ‘Thappad’ and she either doesn’t know or doesn’t want to know that ‘Manmarziyaan’, ‘Haseen Dilruba’ and ‘Enamel Sethupathi’ His credibility has started eroding due to his similar acting in films like.

When he spoke to him last time, he said that he enjoys surprising the audience. Tighten the film ‘Rashmi Rocket’ on this criterion of his own, then this film runs on a flat surface from beginning to end. It is good that it was released on OTT. Zee5 is Desi OTT. It continues to serve content in languages across the country. His efforts are on to bring big production houses and big stars of Hindi cinema on his platform. The film ‘Rashmi Rocket’ is a sequel to that but if the film had been made by its director Akarsh Khurana in a balanced way and of limited time duration then its results could have been surprising. The highlight point of the film is Abhishek Banerjee’s performance and it is the second part of the film that saves the film.

The film ‘Rashmi Rocket’ is the story of a girl about whom the audience is told from the beginning that her neighbors consider her less a girl and more a girl. Her actions with Tom Boy are shown and she is shown to have once been a rocket runner. His race to rescue a soldier brings him closer to an Indian Army captain who is determined to get him back on track. Rashmi has a strange relationship with her mother. She also calls him by name and the affection is also great. Well, Rashmi starts running again. Destroys all the knights of the province and gets a chance to join the national team. The case seems to be ‘Chak De India’. Conspiracies are hatched. Again Taapsee gets ‘slapped’ and the matter reaches the court. From here onwards, Abhishek, who became a lawyer, carries the film on his shoulders.

It takes a lot of patience initially to watch this film on OTT. The name of the film may be ‘Rashmi Rocket’ but it progresses very slowly. Writer, actor, casting director, voice over artist and director Akarsh Khurana, who has worn the cloak of director, has kept only the directorial work with him this time. Akarsh, who is trying to take forward the legacy of father Akash Khurana, has done a good job on OTT. Series like ‘Tripling’ and ‘Yeh Meri Family’ are counted among the best series made in India. But he failed as a film director in ‘High Jack’. People liked his work in ‘Caravan’ but he could not make the film a success. People have high expectations from ‘Rashmi Rocket’ and if Akarsh Khurana could have saved himself from the fixed formulas of Hindi films, then this film could have been one of the best films of this year.

After watching ‘Rashmi Rocket’, you may remember Indian sprinter Dutee Chand again and again. The timeline of the film also revolves around his career and the controversies related to him. But Akarsh has not shown his Rashmi to be gay. Rashmi does not want to use it in her favor in the court in the way that she is a woman in the end, but Akarsh takes it as a trump card and drags it to the climax. Had it been decided to release the film on OTT only, then Akarsh should have re-edited it to 90 minutes. The songs of the film hinder its pace. The dance of the athlete and the captain of the army does not fit. And it is not even this aspect of Jamta film that special attention was not paid to setting the background of the rest of the characters. The story of the film gets all the numbers but its screenplay is the weakest link in the film. Although the music of the film is by Amit Trivedi, he too does not go beyond the tried-and-tested tricks.

Taapsee Pannu had released a glimpse of the film on social media before the release of the film and then it was claimed that she got trolled for this ‘masculine’ body. But, internally, it is known to all that it was a very absurd hype of the film’s promotion that instead of benefiting the film, it harmed it. Taapsee Pannu is also beginning to feel that she can become a great actress by finding good stories. But, for that, he has to diversify the stories and novelty in his acting. His acting has stayed there for the last five years. As an actress, she is choosing the best character but it is important that she diversify her acting as well. If she does this, the director will not have to try other tricks like slow motion, low angle camera to establish her character. This is his third film to release on OTT and now he has to do something so that his producers can even dare to take the risk of bringing his films to theatres.
