Haryana Government has granted 21 days parole to Sirsa Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim, lodged in Rohtak jail in Haryana. He is serving a sentence in Rohtak jail for rape and murder. Gurmeet has been brought out of jail under tight security. It is believed that the government wants to get Gurmeet out of jail and take advantage of Dera-affected seats in Punjab and UP elections.
Two days back, Haryana Jail Minister Ranjit Singh Chautala’s statement had come that it is the right of every prisoner to take parole. After this Ram Rahim got parole for 21 days. He was taken out of Rohtak’s Sunaria jail this morning itself. During the parole, a strict condition was placed that he would be under the supervision of the police for 21 days. Most of his time will be spent in the tent.
