New Delhi: All eyes are on IPL founder Lalit Modi and actor Sushmita Sen ever since the former announced that he is in a relationship with Miss Universe 1994.
On Thursday evening, Lalit took to his social media and wrote, “After a dizzying global tour in London #Maldives #Sardinia with families – not to mention my #betterhalf @sushmitasen47 – a fresh start finally a new Life. Moon.” Along with a heartfelt note, Lalit posted a string of romantic pictures with Sushmita.
Apart from netizens, the special announcement also caught the attention of Bollywood star Ranveer Singh.
Reacting to Lalit’s Instagram post with Sushmita, Ranveer left a red heart emoji and a wicked emoji in a comment section.
Lalit was earlier married to Minal Sagarani, whom he married in October 1991. They had two children together – son Ruchir and daughter Alia. Modi is also the stepfather of Karima Sagarani from Minal’s first marriage. Unfortunately, Meenal lost her life to cancer in 2018.
Sushmita, on the other hand, was in a relationship with model Rohman Shawl, whom she met through Instagram in 2018, but broke up with him last year. She is the mother of two adopted daughters Renee and Alisa.
In a recent conversation with writer Twinkle Khanna, Sushmita shared that she was close to getting married thrice in the past.
“I came close to getting married thrice, all three times God saved me. I can’t tell you what disasters came with their respective lives. God protected me, also because God is protecting these two kids Well, he can’t let me get into a messy case,” she said.
Sushmita has not yet shared the news of her relationship with Lalit on social media.
