Senapati’s 67 off 127 balls was studded with nine fours but Odisha kept losing wickets at regular intervals at the other end.

The first to go was opener Shantanu Mishra (42), who could only add one run to his night’s score, becoming Pritam’s first victim.

Rakesh Patnaik was dismissed by Ishan in the 42nd over, while G Poddar fell to Akash Ghatak as Odisha collapsed to 139 for five, losing half their team.

Senapati added 45 runs with Rajesh Dhupar (15) but was later clean bowled by Ishan. Prayas Singh and Senapati took them past 200 before they were back in the hut in the 81st over.

Eight balls later, Senapati was removed by Pritam as their score was 210 for 8.

Lower-order batsmen Pradhan (22), Sunil Raul (24) and Basant Mohanty (15 not out) then made useful contributions to take Odisha past the 250-mark.

In both Rohtak and Nadaun, play was suspended without a ball being bowled on the second day due to bad light.
