In light of the positive reviews, Rani Mukerji recently visited the Golden Temple to seek blessings.
On Saturday, a paparazzi Instagram handle shared a picture of Rani Mukerji dressed in Indian attire and with folded hands at the Golden Temple in Amritsar. She had a scarf wrapped around her head and was also wearing tinted sunglasses. The actress also had a slight smile on her face as she posed for the picture. The caption of the post read, “With Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway off to a good start with unanimously positive reviews, Rani Mukerji is seen seeking blessings at the Golden Temple, Amritsar.”
Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway managed to collect Rs 1.27 crore on its opening day. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter handle and wrote, “Riding on glowing word of mouth, #MrsChatterjeeVsNorway picks up momentum as Day 1 progresses … Fri ₹ 1.27 Cr [535 screens]… Biz is important on Saturn and Sun, needs to multiply/jump for a healthy weekend total. #India biz. #mcvn.” The film registered a lower opening at the box office than Rani’s previous film Bunty Aur Babli 2.
Smt Chatterjee Vs Norway is based on a real incident. Rani plays a Bengali mother who gets into a legal battle with the Norwegian government after authorities take her children away from her, deeming her an “unfit” mother.
