Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor has finally wrapped up the shooting of his much-awaited film Brahmastra and now the actor is gearing up for Animal. T-Series head Bhushan Kumar revealed that the actor will be seen in a completely different avatar in the film. Talking to ETimes, he said that Animal, as the name indicates, is not a film on an animal. It refers to the personality traits of a person. He also said that Ranbir will be seen in a violent avatar.
“We will see a different avatar of Ranbir. First of all, ‘Animal’ is not a creation film. Animal refers to the personality traits of a person, as you said, we can expect to see a violent Ranbir Kapoor. I can’t tell you much about the film. But it also stars Anil Kapoor and we start filming in April. We are also completing Ranbir’s film with Luv Ranjan, which is expected to be completed by May or June.”
Earlier, Parineeti Chopra was roped in to play the lead opposite Ranbir. However, due to clash of dates with Imtiaz Ali’s next film, the actress had to opt out. Now news is coming that Rashmika Mandanna has reached him.
According to Pinkvilla, T-Series head Bhushan Kumar and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga believe that Rashmika fits the role perfectly. “They wanted a new cast instead of repeating RK’s pairing with another actress. Both feel that both RK and Rashmika will set the screen on fire with their chemistry in Animals. The two share an interesting dynamic in the film,” a source told the publication.
Kumar was asked about it in the interview but did not give any definite answer. “I’ll contact you later about ‘Animal’,” he told the publication.
Apart from Ranbir, Animal also stars Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol in lead roles.
