Ranbir Kapoor Shares Heartwarming Message About Dad Rishi Kapoor’s Last Film ‘Sharmaji Namkeen’

new Delhi: Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor recently shared a heartfelt message for his fans regarding his father late Rishi Kapoor’s upcoming film ‘Sharmaji Namkeen’.

The film happens to be Rishi Kapoor’s last film and Ranbir took some time to interact with his fans through a special video and talked about how the film was very close to his father’s heart.

In a video that sees the actor speaking straight from the heart, Ranbir reveals how his father, who was full of life and positivity, wanted to complete the film at all costs despite his health deteriorating.

The actor says in the video that the unfortunate demise of the veteran actor resulted in the makers trying VFX, which made him try to implant prostheses to complete the film with no luck. It was veteran actor Paresh Rawal who stepped in and made sure Rishi Kapoor’s swansong got a fitting conclusion, a gesture for which Ranbir is extremely grateful.

Ranbir remembered his father with a phrase, “You must have heard ‘Show Must Know’, but I have seen Papa live his life”, before adding, “Sharmaji Namkeen’ is always one of my favourites. Will be one of my father’s memories. Bringing smiles to my countless fans on screen.”

He urged the audience to shower their love for the film like they always did for Rishi Kapoor and requested them to watch the trailer of the film which released on Thursday.

‘Sharmaji Namkeen’ is the story of a recently retired man who discovers his passion for cooking after joining a kitty circle of riotous women.

Directed by Hitesh Bhatia and produced by Excel Entertainment in association with McGuffin Pictures, the film also stars Juhi Chawla, Suhail Nayyar, Taruk Raina, Satish Kaushik, Sheeba Chaddha and Isha Talwar. The film will premiere on Prime Video on March 31.
