Amidst the rumors of Ranbir Kapoor doing Sourav Ganguly’s biopic, Ranbir was recently seen playing cricket with Sourav Ganguly at Eden Gardens. Kapoor is currently busy promoting his upcoming film Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar, was recently seen in Kolkata for the promotional events of the same. There, he met the former Indian cricketer known as ‘Dada’ (elder brother) in Bengal. Pictures and videos of the two talking to each other and playing cricket went viral on social media, fueling rumors that Ranbir was doing a Ganguly biopic.

Last week, reports surfaced that Ranbir will fly to Kolkata where he will visit Eden Gardens, CAB office and even Sourav Ganguly’s house before resuming the shoot.
Sourav Ganguly’s biopic was announced in 2019. Last month, former BCCI president’s wife Donna Ganguly spoke about the much-anticipated biopic and told E-Times, “I think the producer and the director would be the best people to answer this question as they are the ones making the film.” are making. Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor is currently gearing up for the release of Tu Juthi Main Makkar, which also stars Shraddha Kapoor in the lead. TJMM is set for a festive release in cinemas worldwide on Holi on 8th March 2023.
