It’s finally happening! Love birds Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are going to tie the knot today on April 14. The wedding festivities began yesterday with puja and mehendi ceremony at RK’s house. On Thursday, the family reached the Vastu residence of the couple. The groom’s mother Neetu Kapoor on Wednesday evening confirmed that Alia and Ranbir are indeed all set to tie the knot today i.e. April 14. While the wedding preparations are underway, as per the latest reports, the celebrations will begin after 3 pm. Talking about marriage, there is already a lot of speculation about Ranbir and Alia’s wedding look, according to a recent report, Raliya is going to be seen in a golden and white dress.
Sabyasachi’s clothes were being distributed at Vastu Niwas, as seen in a video from last week. According to a report in Pinkvilla, the chances of Alia and Ranbir choosing Sabyasachi are quite high. And a new update indicates that the couple opted for a white and gold wedding look.
A follower’s message on Diet Sabya’s Instagram account read, “Tomorrow you will see a lot of gold and white.” Reposting the message, DS wrote, “Scoop.”
As of now, there is no information about which outfit Ranbir and Alia chose for their mehendi. However, we did see Ranbir’s mother Neetu Kapoor in a stunning Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla floral outfit. He was accompanied by Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, who slayed in a stunning metallic blingy sari, while Shaheen Bhatt opted for a green embellished outfit.
Talking about Ranbir Alia’s Mehndi, her entire Kapoor family was involved with filmmaker Karan Johar in the pre wedding ceremony. According to a report in an entertainment portal, the filmmakers were unable to control their emotions before Alia’s marriage to Ranbir. A source close to the development told BollywoodLife, “Karan Johar couldn’t hold back his emotions. He was overjoyed to see them finally get married. KJo always wanted to see Alia and Ranbir get married and on D’s day, he was someone. Doesn’t hold back the feeling.”
Karan Johar launched Alia in the industry with Student of the Year and has watched Alia’s career closely since then. He has been the actor’s father figure and mentor since then. Alia ties rakhi on Yash’s wrist every year. Yash is the son of Karan.
Seeing Karan getting emotional, Neetu Kapoor also could not hold back her tears. During the Mehndi function, she was heard reminiscing some old memories of herself and Rishi Kapoor. On the index finger, Neetu wrote Rishi in a heart touching gesture. He said that it was Rishi Kapoor’s dream to see his son as a groom but it could not be fulfilled in his lifetime.
Ayan Mukerji was the special guest along with Karan Johar at the Mehndi ceremony. The director of Brahmastra wished the pair all the happiness in the world on Instagram.
The pair will soon be seen in Brahmastra, which is slated to release on September 9.
