Ramanuj Ganguly appointed as the President of West Bengal School Board

Ramanuj Ganguly was appointed as the President on Thursday West Bengal Board of Secondary education (WBBSE) amid a probe by the CBI into several recruitment drives conducted for schools in the state. He replaces Kalyanmoy Ganguly, who is under investigation by the CBI in connection with the recruitment scam.

A notification said that Ramanuj Ganguly will hold office for a period of one year till June 22, 2023. He was earlier a professor at West Bengal State University in Barasat. The government also appointed an eight-member ad-hoc committee for the board. Kalyanmoy Ganguly, whose term ended on June 21, faced questioning by the CBI over irregularities related to the School Service Commission.
