Ram Navami 2022: On Ram Navami, devotees observe fast and also worship the infant form of Lord Rama

RAM NAVAMI 2022: Ram Navami will be celebrated this year on Sunday, April 10. According to the Hindu calendar, Ram Navami is celebrated on the ninth day of Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month. The significance of the festival is to celebrate the birth of Lord Rama in Treta Yuga to his king Dasharatha and queen Kaushalya in Ayodhya. It is believed that the exact medieval period of this period marks the moment of the birth of Lord Rama. Therefore, many people see 12:00 noon as the meridian mark due to the use of Western clocks, according to the Dric’s Almanac.

Since Ayodhya is the birthplace of Lord Rama, it is one of the major places to visit during Ram Navami as the festivities are in full swing there. Devotees take a dip in the Sarayu River and participate in temple celebrations.

On Ram Navami, devotees observe a fast and also worship the infant form of Lord Rama. Apart from this, people recite Ramayana and recite Ram Raksha Stotra.

Shubh Muhurta and Mandhyan Timings

Navami will start on 9th April, 2022 at 3:53 PM and will go on till 5:45 PM on 10th April, 2022. The midday period will start at 10:45 am and end at 13.14 am. Exactly midday will be celebrated at 12:00 noon.

The Brahma Muhurta will start at 4:16 am and end at 5:02 am. Vijaya Muhurta will start at 14.03 and end at 14:53. The Godhuli Muhurta will start at 17:58 and will continue till 18:22.
