Ram Mandir Construction: Ayodhya Temple Gets Rs 1 Crore In Donations In Last 15 Days

New Delhi: In the last 15 days, the Ram temple in Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh has received over Rs 1 crore in the donation box kept inside the temple, a Ram Mandir Trust official said on Monday (March 13, 2023). Prakash Gupta, the office in-charge of the Ram Mandir Trust located at Ram Janmabhoomi, said that the bank officials who counted and deposited the donations have informed the Ram Mandir Trust that donations have increased three times since January 2023.

He said that two officers have been specially appointed by the State Bank of India to count and deposit the cash in the trust’s bank account.

Champat Rai, general secretary of the Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust, said that the donations coming to the Ram temple are increasing rapidly and in the coming times arrangements will be made on the lines of Tirupati Balaji where hundreds of workers are busy counting the cash. Every day.

Following the Supreme Court’s 2019 verdict, the major part of the construction work of the new Ram temple in Ayodhya is expected to be completed by the end of this year, the statement said.

According to the officials of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, the temple will be opened to the public in January next year.

Ayodhya’s Ram temple will be connected by four lane road

The Ram temple being built in Ayodhya will be connected to the 14 Kosi Parikrama Marg, which will be converted into a four-lane road, a senior official said here on Monday.

Every year after Diwali, lakhs of devotees ‘parikrama’ the temple town on the narrow road.

Since the construction of the Ram temple is going on fast, the number of devotees doing parikrama will increase significantly in future, officials estimate.

The state government has sanctioned Rs 1,166 crore for the four-laning project of Parikrama Marg. We have started the process of payment of compensation with the registry of houses and shops affected by the 25-km widening of Chaudah Kosi Parikrama Marg. Ayodhya District Magistrate Nitish Kumar told PTI.

Around 23 big and small temples are being affected by the construction, including over 1,000 houses and shops, he said.

Compensation will be given after registering all of them. Utility duct will be made after widening. In this project, underground electric cable will be laid and sewer line will be laid. DM said.
