On this day, take a one rupee coin from sister’s hand wrapped in akshat, betel nut and pink cloth. Then present clothes and sweets to your sister. Don’t forget to touch the feet of the elder when the worship is over. Then tie that item in a pink cloth and keep it somewhere in the house, then the inauspicious effect is removed.

Raksha Bandhan is celebrated on the full moon day and the deity of the full moon is Moon. Therefore, worshiping Chandradev along with Shiva on this date brings prestige to the worshippers. Worshiping both brings happiness and peace in the house.
