ETimes quoted the actor as saying, “Yes, it has been a long time since I did TV shows; Qubool Hai was my last show, which was in 2014. For me, the vibes of the people I am working with matter. Keeps. The team has to be right. The reason I stayed away from TV was because somewhere the energy was not matching, but in this case my energy matches with that of Rajan sir. We have worked together in Saath Phere, Which was my first show. I love his creativity and when he offered me the role, I did it immediately.”
