Rakeysh Bapat has been in the limelight for his romantic relationship with Shamita Shetty. Both the actors made a connection in Bigg Boss OTT which recently ended with their coming out as the finalists of the show. While Shamita will now be seen in Bigg Boss 15, Rakesh is yet to take a final call on his entry in Salman Khan’s reality show.
During their stint on Bigg Boss OTT, Rakesh and Shamita confessed to have feelings for each other and announced that they would continue their connection outside the house as well. They were recently spotted on a romantic dinner date in Mumbai, after which Rakesh posted a cute picture of them on his Instagram account. This almost officially confirmed their romance.
Now, Rakesh has opened up about how he and Shamita are quite comfortable with their relationship after coming out of the house and why he was a bit hesitant to express his feelings on the show.
“I always told her that we should get to know each other in the real world as well. Because there are so many things that you want to share and speak about but you can’t do that on camera or on a platform like that. Shamita and I have spent time together after the show and I like her in the real world as well. I had no doubts about it anyway and she felt the same way. I must say it is a beautiful bond. He is very caring person. We still have a long way to go and I am glad that we met on this show, which Bigg Boss has done well for us.”
When Rakesh and Shamita were on the show, their mother Sunanda Shetty went to meet them inside the Bigg Boss OTT house to boost their morale. At the time, Shamita’s mother also took the opportunity to praise Rakesh and mentioned how “sweet” and “a gentleman” he was. She even sent a flying kiss towards the actor, blushing.
When asked if he got a chance to meet Shamita’s mother and elder sister, Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, after coming out of the house, blushing, Rakesh at first tried to dodge the question by saying, “Chalo don’t go there. However, he added, “they are lovely people. I’ve definitely talked to him. Shamita is blessed to have such a wonderful family.”
Talking about his possible entry in Bigg Boss 15, the ‘Tum Bin’ actor said, “I don’t think I will come again right now. Yes, it is tempting but there are many other things that await me in the pipeline. I have tasted Ghar. I am glad it was there for six weeks and I could understand how it worked. I am really grateful for a platform like Bigg Boss because it has given me so many good things in life. Gave things and taught me a lot but right now I am not leaving. But never say never.”
