In a major setback to the ruling Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress alliance in Maharashtra, the BJP snatched three of the six Rajya Sabha seats from the state.
The BJP winners include Union Minister Piyush Goyal and former state ministers Anil Bonde and Dhananjay Mahadik. Among the candidates for the MVA alliance, Shiv Sena’s Sanjay Raut, NCP’s Praful Patel and Congress’ Imran Pratapgarhi won.
