Rajinikanth’s speech at a recent event has gone viral. He spoke about being scared during election time.
Veteran actor Rajinikanth recently attended the inauguration of a popular hospital’s branch in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. While addressing the media personnel present at the venue, the superstar expressed that he did not wish to speak much as it is election time and he is “scared” to even breathe.
Rajinikanth said, “Earlier, when asked where is Kauvery Hospital, people used to say it is near Kamal Haasan’s house. Now, when asked where is Kamal’s house, people say it is near Kauvery Hospital. Media people too… these are just casual stuff. Don’t write that Rajinikanth was messing with Kamal.”
Rajinikanth added, “I actually didn’t want to speak at all, but I was asked to say a few words. I asked will there be many media houses at the event. They said only a few. Now, looking at all these cameras, I am scared. It is election time as well. I am scared to even let out a breath.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Rajinikanth is currently busy shooting for his upcoming film, Vettaiyan. He revealed at a recent media interaction that the shoot is almost complete. Rajinikanth then added, “Shoot is going on superbly at the moment. However, the release date of the film will be announced only after the entire shoot is done.”
Vettaiyan is being helmed by TJ Gnanavel. It stars Rajinikanth as the protagonist, with an ensemble cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Kishore, and Rohini. It is being produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under the banner of Lyca Productions. The music in the film is being given by Anirudh Ravichander, while S R Kathir is the cinematographer, and Philomin Raj is doing the editing. As per the reports, the film is expected to be released this year.
