Rajinikanth, an asset of Tamil cinema who proved that an action hero can be a good comedian too

“Cinema is my profession. A part of my life. It is not fair that I use cinema to express my feelings and policies” – these were the words once spoken by megastar Rajinikanth. The ‘Duniya Ke Bachaar’ actor Rajini also proved himself as a talented comedian with the film ‘Mullam Malaram’. ‘ in 1978. Film: Thillu Mulu, 1981

Actor Rajinikanth’s first full-length epic comedy film was ‘Thillu Mulu’, directed by late director K Balachander. Rajinikanth agreed to star in the film only because Balachander strongly suggested that he should be cast in roles other than commercial roles to break Rajinikanth’s image of being a single popular stunt hero at the time. When he finally realizes that he is half-dressed, he runs back home when a dog follows him.

Movie: Muthu, 1995

It is one of the blockbuster movies of the 90s.
